Woodenbong Yowie Country Market
LAST SATURDAY of every Month.
8am-4pm

The market is held in the heart of the village at the Woodenbong Public Hall and grounds in Unumgar Street, Woodenbong, handy to the Camping Grounds, Hotel, Golf Club, Shops and Petrol Outlets and provides wheelchair access and accommodates indoor and outside stall sites which have a variety of products displayed including art, craft, ceramics, jewellery, wood carving, wrought iron work, sewing, knitting and home crafts, second hand and collectables, cakes and biscuits, food, plants, produce, poultry and Yowie souvenirs and much more.
Live entertainment, with our resident Musician, John Howley who has enough musical talent to please any listener, with a diverse repertoire while playing his guitar and mandolin.
Face painting for the kids and a Children's Playground on the site.
Public BBQ on site.
A raffle for a "Dinner for 2" at the Woodenbong Hotel is run at every event.
Coaches and buses can be catered for with the co-operation of the Woodenbong Hotel to arrange lunch sitting. Bookings essential.

MARKET RULES & STALL HOLDERS INFORMATION

1. Opening of the 'Woodenbong Yowie Country Market' event will be from 6am for stall holders and it is requested of stall holders to stay the full duration till 4pm. If request for an early departure is sought, please discuss this with the organisers prior to setting up your stall, as a suitable stall site will be allocated so as not to disturb the other stall holders, the flow of the market and for the safety of the patrons.

2. Upon arrival, all prospective stall holders must report to the organisers (or their appointed representative) prior to the stall being set up.

3. Stalls can only be accepted that meet legal requirement and present suitable goods for sale.

4. Every stall holder must register their details with us on a documented register for Stall Holder Liability Insurance purposes.

5. All stall holders will be required to pay a stall fee of $12.00 which includes Stall Holder Liability Insurance. Trestle tables, which measure approximately 1.8 X .66 metres, are available for hire at a fee of $3.00 unless booked out. These amounts will be receipted.

6. Trestles will be given, for use, to pre-booked stall holders who have requested a trestle before others. These must be returned to the appropriate place in the Hall at the end of each use.

7. All stall holders must comply with the regulations set by Kyogle Shire Council and or any Health Department or Government Department. All applicable documentation must be produced and photocopied for the ‘Woodenbong Yowie Country Market’ records. Including all food handling and food producing documents. All food handling certificates should be displayed on the stall for the public to view, where applicable. (Please ask if you are unsure)

8. Stall holders can be refused acceptance if all requirements mentioned do not meet the criteria of the ‘Woodenbong Yowie Country Market’ and legal regulations.

9. Should poultry or livestock be brought to the market it must be healthy. These stall holders need to check with us prior to the actual market date in the chance that Wollongbah Centre has a health or transport warning on those particular breeds of animals at that point in time.

10. Stall holders are responsible for the rubbish that is produced from their products sold, and are responsible for the removal of same. This is a legal requirement of persons selling food so please come prepared.

11. NO DOGS will be permitted at the Market events.

12. No RAFFLES to be held at the market event, with the exclusion of 'Woodenbong Yowie Country Market'.
